India is embarking on an ambitious journey to the Sun as it prepares for its inaugural solar expedition, the Aditya L1 mission. Using ISRO’s reliable PSLV launcher, this mission is set to embark on a 125-day voyage towards our nearest star. The countdown for this historic launch started 23.10 hours ago on Friday, according to ISRO. Scheduled to take off from the second launch pad at Shriharikota at 11.50 am today, the Aditya L1 mission aims to provide remote observations of the Solar corona and conduct in-situ observations of the Solar wind at L1, which is situated approximately 1.5 million kilometers from Earth.
