Mysterious Video Emerges After Yevgeny Prigozhin’s Funeral: Is His Death a Hoax?

Just days after the funeral of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner Group, a baffling and previously unseen video has surfaced. In this video, Prigozhin is seen addressing the camera while riding in a vehicle, addressing the swirling speculations about his demise. The footage, which lacks a date, has raised eyebrows and sparked fresh discussions about the circumstances surrounding his alleged death.

The video was brought to public attention by Anton Gerashchenko, an advisor to the minister of internal affairs of Ukraine. In the footage, Prigozhin can be heard saying, “To those who talk about my liquidation, private life, and earnings or whatever else, strictly speaking, everything’s alright.” He goes on to add, “For anyone discussing whether I’m alive or not and how I’m doing […] it’s a weekend in the second half of August 2023. I’m in Africa.” These statements have only deepened the mystery surrounding Prigozhin’s supposed demise.

Russian media outlets, on the other hand, have been quick to point out a potential inconsistency in the video. They have highlighted that the uniform worn by Prigozhin in this video closely resembles the outfit he was seen wearing in another video published on August 21 during the Wagner Group’s campaign in Africa. This observation has led to renewed speculation about whether Prigozhin’s death could have been staged for some unknown purpose.

Ever since the destruction of Prigozhin’s plane on August 23, which claimed the lives of several top members of the Wagner Group, doubts about the authenticity of his death have persisted. However, the Russian government, under President Vladimir Putin, has firmly asserted that the international community will not be granted access to examine any evidence from the crash site. This ongoing secrecy only serves to fuel the intrigue surrounding the fate of Yevgeny Prigozhin.
