After much anticipation, the makers of ‘Jawan’ revealed the thrilling trailer for Shah Rukh Khan’s dynamic action-packed film on Thursday. In his debut Bollywood venture, director Atlee crafts a larger-than-life action spectacle with ‘Jawan,’ casting Khan in a captivating dual role. The trailer showcases Khan as the ‘senior’ figure, a bald-headed vigilante leading a team of six formidable female recruits in an audacious train hijack within Mumbai. With a cool demeanor, he amusingly retorts “Alia Bhatt” when questioned by authorities.

As the plot unfolds, the audience encounters Vijay Sethupathi portraying the lethal weapons dealer, Kalee, with flashbacks hinting at his involvement in brutal acts in a distant state. In the present day, Khan takes on the role of a police officer, joined by Nayanthara, his romantic interest and fellow law enforcer. The climax intensifies as father and son, soldier and cop, reunite to dismantle Kalee’s empire in a gripping showdown.

Noteworthy appearances by Deepika Padukone, SRK’s co-star from previous hits, and a diverse cast including Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Yogi Babu, and Sunil Grover enrich the film.

Prior to the trailer release, a captivating ‘prevue’ offered a glimpse into the world of ‘Jawan,’ followed by three music tracks – ‘Zinda Banda,’ ‘Chaleya,’ and ‘Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya.’ Composer Anirudh Ravichander crafts his inaugural full-fledged Hindi album for the film.

At the pre-release event held in Chennai, Shah Rukh Khan shared praises for Tamil cinema’s excellence, reflecting on his connections formed over the years. He highlighted his admiration for films like ‘Dil Se,’ ‘Hey Ram,’ and his bond with Rajinikanth.

Reinvigorated after ‘Pathaan,’ the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023, Shah Rukh Khan aims to elevate his box-office presence with ‘Jawan,’ a film he once described in an ‘Ask SRK’ session as “a film about women made for men.”

‘Jawan,’ produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, is set to hit theaters on September 7, promising a grand cinematic experience.
